Here's how this week will look...
Geometry:
Tuesday/Wednesday March 29th/30th
We have now gone through all the trig functions (sine, cosine, and tangent). The important thing now is to know when to use each one. Today we will spend the day working on a packet that mixes them together and forces you to decide whether to use sine, cosine, or tangent to solve.
HOMEWORK: Finish the Trig Practice Problem Packet
Thursday/Friday March 31st/April 1st
In preparation for using our trig functions with special right triangles (30-60-90 triangles and 45-45-90 triangles) we will spend this day reviewing/learning how to simplify rational expressions and focusing on how to rationalize the denominator.
HOMEWORK: Pg 745 #1-6, 9-12, 17-18 and Rational Expression worksheet
Algebra II:
Tuesday/Wednesday March 29th/30th
We are continuing with our Probability unit and will be working in section 6-7 of the textbook. Today's objective is to count permutations and combinations (remember with permutations order matters and with combinations order doesn't matter) then to find probability using permutations and combinations.
HOMEWORK: Pg 348 #1-17 (odd), 18, 19-29 (0dd), 30, 46-49, 56, 78
Thursday/Friday March 31st/April 1st
We will find the probability of multiple events and conditional probability meaning finding the probability of event A AND B, the probability of event A OR B. We will also use formulas and tree diagrams for conditional probability (all of this is section 9-7 in the textbook).
HOMEWORK: Pg 534 #1-13, 15-25 (odd), 31-39 (odd), Pg 656 #1-12
Let's make the first week of the quarter a GREAT start!!
