April 25th-29th Week in Preview
We are getting very close to CRT testing time which means we have A LOT to review. Now is a great time to start going back over past notes and tests. We will be doing review in class as well.
Here's what this week looks like:
Geometry:
Monday/Tuesday April 25th/26th
We have talked a bit about logic and reasoning throughout the year but need to make sure we know how to recognize conditional statements, converse statements, inverse statements, contrapositive statements, and biconditional statements. We also need to know how to determine truth value AND recognize Venn Diagrams.
HOMEWORK: Logic and Reasoning Homework
Wednesday/Thursday April 27th/28th
We will start working on our CRT Review Packet. We will spend two days in class working on the packet and it will be due Tuesday May 3rd/Wednesday May 4th. The first half of the packet should be completed in class this day.
HOMEWORK: First three pages of CRT Review Packet
Friday/Monday April 29th/May 2nd
We will continue working on the CRT Review Packet. It is due next class period so use this class period to finish it.
HOMEWORK: Complete the CRT Review Packet
Algebra II:
Monday/Tuesday April 25th/26th
In preparation for the CRT, I want us to know individually what YOU need to practice more, so today we will be taking a Practice CRT. The test itself will not go on your grade but your homework will be to write test corrections for the ones that you miss in the section you miss the most from and then that will go on your grade.
HOMEWORK: Test Corrections for the CRT Practice Test
Wednesday/Thursday April 27th/28th
We will begin working on our CRT Review Packet. Your assignment is to complete 9 of the 13 sections (focusing on the sections that you need the most review on). If you complete the entire packet you will receive extra credit towards your CRT grade.

Friday/Monday April 29th/May 2nd
We will continue working on our CRT Review Packet.

April 19th-22nd Week in Preview
WELCOME BACK!!!!
I hope everyone enjoyed Spring Break and a week off!! I absolutely LOVED China and will post some pictures as soon as I get them uploaded and sorted. I realize it is hard to get back into the swing of things but I know that we can all do it! This week is a test week so I really need you to be focused and prepared. Also, we are coming close to the end of the year so we have much to do before the school year is finished.
Here is this week's layout:
Geometry:
Tuesday/Wednesday April 19th/20th
Review Day!! You were given the trigonometry test review packet last class and it is due this day so we will be correcting it and answering any questions as well as playing a review game for those with no missing assignments.
HOMEWORK: Study for test and complete all missing assignments
Thursday/Friday April 21st/22nd
Test Day!! We will take the Trigonometry Test and have our typical notebook check. The notes I will be looking for are as follows; The sine function (yellow), The cosine function (pink), The tangent function (blue), Square Roots (yellow), Special Right Triangles (blue), Special Right Triangles (pink). I will also be looking for Quizzes #1-9. Please have your notebooks organized for me. Good luck on the test!
HOMEWORK: None
Algebra II:
Tuesday/Wednesday April 19th/20th
Probability Review Day!! We will spend today going over questions on the review and correcting the entire packet. We will also play a review game with those who have no missing assignments.
HOMEWORK: Study for the test and get all missing assignments in.
Thursday/Friday April 21st/22nd
Probability Test Day!! We will take the probability test and have our typical notebook check. The notes I am looking for are as follows; 1-6,12-1 Probability, 6-7 Permutations/Combinations, 9-7 Prob of Multiple Events, 12-3 Analyzing Data, 12-4 Standard Deviation. I will also be checking for Quizzes #1-8. Please come to class with your binders organized and your brains ready to ace the test!
HOMEWORK: None!

April 4th-8th Week in Preview
One week before Spring Break!!! I hope you have fun plans for your week off. Let's get all your missing work in before the break so you don't have your parents on your case all week to get your work done. :) Trust me, it will make the break nicer for all of us! Also we have our unit tests coming up the week after Spring Break which means all work in that unit is due anyway.
Here's what this week looks like...
Geometry:
Monday/Tuesday April 4th/5th
We will go over again our special right triangles (45-45-90 triangles and 30-60-90 triangles). You need to know how to find EVERY side give just one side no matter which side is given.
HOMEWORK: Pg 360 #1-2, 4-8, 11-19, 36
Wednesday/Thursday April 6th/7th
Using our special right triangles knowledge we will find sine, cosine, and tangent of our special right triangles WITHOUT a calculator.
HOMEWORK: Trigonometry Homework wkst
Friday/Monday April 8th/18th
This will be our first day of review for the trigonometry test (Test will be April 21st/22nd). We will work on the test review packet in class and it will be due the next class.
HOMEWORK: Trigonometry Test Review
Algebra II:
Monday/Tuesday April 4th/5th
Continuing with our probability unit, we will spend today analyzing data meaning we will calculate measure of central tendency (mean, median, and mode). We will learn how to do all these things by hand and by calculator. We will also create and interpret Box-and-Whisker plots and find values at different percentiles.
HOMEWORK: Pg 664 #1-7, 14, 15, 27, percentile worksheet
Wednesday/Thursday April 6th/7th
This is our last day of new material in our probability unit. We will be working on finding standard deviation of a set of values as well as use it in real world situations.
HOMEWORK: Pg 672 #1-9, 17, 19, 31, 32
Friday/Monday April 8th/18th
Day one of our probability unit review. We will spend this period working on the test review packet and answering questions from the unit.
